May is the Perfect Month to Start Planting Your Own Veggies

Last week we finally got a beautiful weather in Toronto and the first thing we did in our back yard was to plant some veggies. Last year was our first time and we were very successful with tomatoes and Swiss chard, cucumbers weren’t as successful. We don’t have a lot of space and my husband thinks I planted too much in our small strip of land, I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens.

This year I planted beets, kale (red and green), broccoli, cauliflower, celery, strawberries, red peppers and vine tomatoes. Kids are excited so its a great educational tool for us as well.
